about us
What“EMBRACE THE GRAY” means to me
I started graying early in life. At 28, I had a very visible gray patch. I was not too worried about it because it was a family trait. However, as time went on and the gray became more and more visible, my insecurities set it. That is when I started to vacillate—being fine with it one moment, then wanting to color it the next moment. The comments from others did not help either, especially the negative comments about getting old.
Then, life began to happen. Things started popping off— like the death of my sister and the violent attack of my brother. Suddenly, the gray hair did not matter, because now areas in my life were gray. I was unsure about how things would play out. I had to embrace God, and trust Him and His will. As I did this, I found myself “Embracing The Gray” hence this blog. I sincerely pray it blesses you and helps you embrace the gray areas in your own life.

NICE TO MEET YOU
I struggled a bit with the titling this page “ABOUT US” or “ABOUT ME.” As you can see, I landed on “ABOUT US.” Here is a little ABOUT US!
God is the true and living God. He is Lord of all and the giver of life.
Jesus is our Savior, sent by God to teach us how to live and to take the penalty of sin to the cross. It is because of Jesus’s death and resurrection that we can live.
The Holy Spirit lives in each of God’s children—those who ask Jesus to be their Lord and Savior—and is our advocate and helper. He leads us each day and helps us to walk in righteousness.
Tahnee, that’s me! I am a tool, an instrument, a vessel whom the Holy Spirit lives in and uses for God’s Glory.
Nice to meet you!
UPCOMING PROJECTS
Well, I’m not sure if this picture is appropriate, but this is a hope of mine. My husband loves to ride his motorcycle, and I am hopeful that God will one day allow me to purchase this baby. So it is hopefully an “UPCOMING PROJECT.” 🙂
On a serious note, God has graciously allowed me to start a ministry to young women called “The Beauty of Holiness.” The purpose is to inspire young women to live for God. So often we rush to get into a relationship, but it leads to relationships that are ungodly and unhealthy. This leads to heartbreak and other trials.
I hope to inspire women to seek God and WAIT ON GOD! The forum is a small group setting composed of both single and married women. It gives them a safe space to speak openly about their hurts, desires, and passions in a non-judgmental environment.
Additionally, we, the Mt. Moriah church family meets every Wednesday night at 6:30pm CST for prayer and 7:00pm CST for Bible Study. We are currently studying the The Ministry of the Holy Spirit.
